Preparation for In-Home Communion this Sunday
Dear Church Family,
During this season of resurrection, we usually celebrate communion together at our Palm Sunday service. We will be doing it again this year but you will serve communion in your individual homes. I will be leading communion during this Sunday's livestream service. It will follow his message.
Here are a few tips for getting reading:
You will need to spend some time with the Lord this week asking Him to bring to mind anything you need to ask forgiveness for. Please talk to your whole family and urge them to do the same.
You will need grape juice to represent the shed blood of our Lord and cubes of bread/wafers to represent the body of our Lord.
You can use one common cup for your family or individual cups for each member—your choice.
I will lead the church in the act of having communion with Christ. Please remember, we are the body of Christ. We do this in remembrance of our Lord's death and resurrection. Try to create an atmosphere of honor and reverence to the Lord while communion is being served.
Optional: Read Luke 22:1-20 prior to the start of our live-stream service. Our service begins at 11:00 a.m.
In Christ,
Pastor Mike Dean
