Bring your coolers to the Lions Shelter at the Clarke County Recreation Park for Sunday service at 11am, and chill out afterward for lunch! Please bring a main dish that serves 8-10 people and also a second dish: A-M: a side or salad to feed 8-10 people N-Z: a dessert to feed 8-10 people The church will provide drinks and paper products. Be sure to bring enough food because we will be having visitors from our Vacation Bible School. Thank you!
July 17th and July 18th! SAVE THE DATE! MINISTRY & OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY:
Once each year Emmaus Church provides a team to assist Clarke County Social Services in obtaining and distributing
surplus government food to the needy and handicapped. This year we will need a team to work the afternoon of Thursday, July 17 and the morning of Friday, July 18. On July 17 four workers and two full-size pick-up trucks are needed for about 3-hours to haul loaded pallets from Winchester to Berryville and unload at the Duncan Memorial Methodist Church. On July 18 six workers are needed from 7AM - 11 AM to sort and carry food boxes to recipients' cars. Also, some recipients are home-bound and need food boxes delivered to them. This is a great opportunity for all ages from teen to seventy-teen to show Christ in action and help those less fortunate in our community!
