Posted by viqui - 09/09/09 at 08:09:31 pmAuditions for the Thanksgiving play are Sunday, September 13th, after the service.
Auditions for the production Of Plimouth Plantation will be Sunday, Sept. 13th at 2pm at JWMS. This dramatic production of the Pilgrims and Indians is based on William Bradford’s Of Plimouth Plantation, a 400 page journal and eye-witness account written by the afore mentioned governor of the colony. The show does involve singing, some dancing, and stage fighting. There is a need for approximately 30 men, 20 women and various children. We are also in need of backstage crew, set-builders, make-up artists and the like. The show will be performed at JWMS in Clarke County the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Preparations for the audition involve:
1. a 1 minute monolouge from a Shakespere sonnet OR excerpt from the King James Bible (similar language use for the time period.)
2. Singing 1 verse of Amazing Grace.
3. If you are asked, you will read a few excerpts from the script with another actor.
Any questions?
